LEISTON has a history of business activity, particularly related to local support and provision for innovation and technology. These activities include Garrett's and the manufacturing of farm machinery, Sizewell 'A + B, farming, niche manufacturing, a busy Town Centre and numerous SME that have become part of our rich business environment.
The LBA consists of Leiston, Sizewell, Theberton, Aldringham and Thorpeness and we represent all businesses from sole traders and SME to larger businesses. Our aim is for businesses to work closer together, help each other market our products and services and give back something to our local community. If there are large new developments in the area we will see a huge influx of people and potential business that we could all capitalise from.
Since the re-establishment of the LBA in late 2009, we have formed a working committee with local business people who are pushing through your ideas to help the business community in the IP16 area. We are working closely with Aldeburgh, Saxmundham, Orford and Wickham Market to create a close-knit community of ideas and marketing to generate more interest in your own businesses.
Now if you want to be involved and think that it is worth £30 for a years membership, please download the form from the link in the right-hand column and either scan and send as an email attachment or send by post to the address below. We are always looking for new people to join and help us move the LBA forward.
